Aspiring Brooklyn rapper Ronald “Ra Diggs” Herron has been charged with three homicides, including one that he bragged about on Twitter.

Herron was indicted today for the 2008 slaying of Richard Russo, the 2009 murder of Victor Zapata, and the 2001 killing of Frederick Brooks, in which he tweeted that he “beat a body.” The NYS Supreme Court previously had to acquit Herron on those charges because two witnesses fearfully refused to testify.

Ra Diggs, an associate of BK MC Uncle Murda, was the leader of a notorious Gowanus Houses drug gang in Brooklyn and was loosley affiliated with the Bloods gang, according to prosecutors Shreve Ariel and Carter Burwell. With the severity of these charges, Herron may face the death penalty.

Diggs has been in federal custody on drug charges since 2010 and cases like this are hard to fight from the inside. This is definitely a case of when keeping it real goes wrong.
