Nasir recently kicked it with MTV New and revealed some details about the creative process behind his upcoming album, Life Is Good. The project is the first studio release from Nas in almost 5 years and expectations are high for the Queensbridge veteran emcee. As to why such a long stint between LPs, Nas’ reasoning is as follows, “sometimes you gotta live a little and you put that in your music.” While diehard Esco fans will want more of his vintage street tales and purist rap stylings, many are seeking to also hear a refreshed, more up-to-date sound from him which it sounds like he may be delivering by working with some of the game’s younger talent (i.e. Da Internz).
