A man named Patrick White is suing Jay-Z along with Decoded co-author Dream Hampton and Random House distributors. Why you ask? AHH reports, he claims that the book contains portions that were stolen from his possession. “In 2009, my personal computer was compromised, resulting in my personal work to be used in Jay-Z’s book Decoded which was released in 2010.”

The hand written lawsuit was filed on June 13th for copyright infringement and invasion of privacy.

My only question is why now? The book came out in 2010 why wait till now? How does your work reflect the lyrics and backstories Jay-Z and Dream Hampton portrayed in that book?
