Free agent Ray Allen agreed to sign Friday evening with the current NBA Champions the Miami Heat. Allen chose Miami over Boston, Memphis and Minnesota. Allen takes less money than what he was making in Boston to go to Miami. All the Heat had to offer was taxpayer’s exception that starts at 3.09 million next season and can go out a maximum of three years and 9.5 million. Boston offered Ray a two year 12 million deal but he declined to resign with the Celts. Looks like the NBA champs may be heading for a repeat with the help of their newest addition.
