Sports Illustrated released it’s poll of the most overrated players and it doesn’t look good for the New York Jets.  Tim Tebow their backup quarterback was voted number one in a landslide with 34 percent of the vote and their starting quarterback Mark Sanchez was voted second with 8 percent of the vote.

This comes just five months after Tebow was named one of the top 100 players in the NFL by the NFL Network poll.  He was coming off a playoff appearance after rallying his team from a 1-4 start.  Now he’s Sanchez’s backup and has only taken 55 snaps so far this season.

Oh, really? No, I didn’t see it,” Tebow told the New York Daily News when asked about the poll. “Yeah, it’s really fine. It’s both sides, because they also voted me in the Top 100 (Players on NFL Network), too.”

When asked about the poll for once coach Rex Ryan was left speechless. “Wow, what are you going to say?” he said, laughing. “I don’t know how to comment on that. I just know I’m happy they’re on my football team — on our football team. Seems like the Jets always get something, you know?”

Tying for second place with Sanchez is Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo also with 8 percent.  Eagles quarterback Michael Vick finished fourth with 4 percent and Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis was fifth with 3 percent of the vote.
