The Source and S.O.B’s Host Explosive SXSW Showcase

AUSTIN, Texas — March [13], 2013 – The Source Magazine and S.O.B.’s, are teaming up during SXSW’s music week to host one explosive stage featuring headliners Ab-Soul and ScHoolBoy Q plus supporting acts in Wyclef, Young Scooter, Bishop Nehru and a slew of BIG surpass guests.


During the event, happening on Wednesday, March 13 at 10 p.m. at Club 119 located at 119 W. 8th Street in downtown Austin. The participating artists will each offer press and concertgoers a high energy performance along with some brand new music.


  1. Kicking off the show will be a few upcoming unsigned artists collected from throughout the nationwide spectrum.
  2. Young Scooter a budding rapper coming out of Atlanta’s new found hot-spell. 
  3. Hip-Hop legend Wyclef Jean will also take the stage to perform some brand new music he’s been working on for over the last year.
  4. Last but not least, Top Dawg Entertainment’s very own Ab-Soul and ScHoolBoy Q will headline the event. Ab-Soul is coming off his 2012 Control System release which earned him The Source’s 2012 Independent Album Of The Year. While ScHoolBoy Q has been cooking up new music for his 2013 release Oxymoron, appearing in the studio with Pharrell.
