Jay-Z is no stranger to power moves.

The entertainment mogul recently launched Roc Nation Sports a co-partner with CAA, to represent baseball and football players, including Victor Cruz and Robinson Cano. He’s now looking to extend his business into basketball. In order to do this, he’ll have to divest pieces of his 1% ownership of the Nets.

According to the report:

The process is expected to be completed in time for Roc Nation to compete for players entering the June NBA draft, but there’s no guarantee of the timing, sources said. Those within Roc Nation and the CAA alliance aren’t “chasing a clock on this,” one source said. “This isn’t about one draft, but taking the long view of the business.”
