Will the real Dr. Dre please stand up?
Jimmy Iovine had a ton of jokes up his sleeves during his USC Commencement Speech.
After telling stories about his life’s journey, he passed the microphone to Dr. Dre. The two recently donated $70 Million to USC to start the USC Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation.
After laughing at Dr. Iovine quoting of Eminem lyrics, Dre went on to say “I’m excited and I am now proud to be a member of the Trojan family.” He then continued on to congratulate the class of 2013.
Iovine further discussed his reason behind the program, including the need for qualified individuals in the expanding world of business, technology and music.
Before exiting the stage, he squeezed in an R. Kelly joke and included the lyrics to one of the R&B crooner’s songs. Of course, the crowd went wild at the unexpected turn.
