Rihanna cause quite a stir over the past couple months with her super exclusive brand of MAC lipstick, which, by the time of her last show on the Diamonds World Tour, was sold out at every location it was offered, with the exception of Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Inside the arena, at a pop-up shop for the lipstick, a New York woman sampled the make-up and is now proclaiming that she contracted Herpes from the product.
Starkeema Greenidge allegedly had to miss two weeks of work because of the virus she contracted from the MAC lipstick, and is now suing the company for what she describes as “mental anguish and emotional distress”. Specifically, on the May 7th date of The Diamonds World Tour, Greenidge used a sampler lipstick offered by one of the pop-up shop’s employees, and spread the product over her lips. She eventually developed what she thought was a cold sore, but her doctor confirmed that it was a symptom of oral herpes. Currently the case is ongoing and we’ll update you as soon as possible.
