vibe-vixen-hip-hop-sistersBET continues to try its hardest to not join the outlandish antics of reality TV, and their newest show to the positivity roster will be Hip-Hop Sisters.  Hip-Hop Sisters will follow the lives of revered female emcees of the late ’80s and ’90s such as Monie Love, Yo-Yo, MC Smooth, Lady of Rage and MC Lyte, with the exception of Lil’ Mama who has steered from rapping to venture into acting and mentoring dance competitions.  Already interested interested viewers have compared the concept to TVOne’s hit R&B Divas.  As we wait patiently for the blockbuster returns of Lil’ Kim and Foxy Brown (though Eve has returned), and Nicki Minaj, seemingly, is still the last one standing in representing women in hip-hop in the mainstream, the show might give us a real look inside of what it takes to be respected in the notoriety of rap music being a boys club.
