Singer/actress Ariana Grande scored a hit this spring with the blissful “The Way” which features an intro and outro from her friend Mac Miller. The vocally great Grande was apparently sick the night of her performance, which was nary once she hit the stage. She’s been favorably compared to Mariah Carey, a fact quite audible and akin to the legend’s first few albums when she was more pop ballad heavy than hip-hop flavored. “The Way” is very evocative of Carey’s “Dreamlover” in particular.
