From certified platinum to a certified agent
Roc Nation Sports’Ron Berkowitz has informed ESPN.com that Jay-Z has officially become certified as an NBA agent. Roc Nation Sports’ President Juan Perez has also become a certified NBA Agent as well.
A timetable has not been revealed on when Jay-Z could start representing players because he still owns his share of the Brooklyn Nets. Until Jay-Z sells his shares of the the team he may not be able to represent any players due to owners can’t represent players. Speculation is though that Jay-Z will be able to represent players as early as Wednesday with the agreement that he sell his shares relatively soon.
Roc Nation Sports first NBA signing is expected to be Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant. Durant has yet to comment on this so it looks like we’ll have to wait on an announcement to get confirmation.
