The Heavy Sound, an established music/lifestyle brand is facilitating a 30-hour DJ Workshop at The City College of New York. “Fall 2013, The Heavy Sound will facilitate a 30-hour DJ Workshop; the most diverse college campus in New York, CCNY – “The People’s College.” The course will feature some of music’s legendary and acclaimed names and icons.”
The course will allow students to understand DJ equipment and how to handle each machine. So far icons such as Q-Tip, Just Blaze, Talib Kweli, Afrika Bambaataa and Statik Selektah are all slated to make appearances during thise course.

The course will take place during the fall, although dates have yet to be revealed, will consist of 10 sessions and costs $595 to register.
