Diddy, The Game, Jermaine Dupri, Fonzworth BentleySome of the biggest names in music headed to L.A. for the BET Awards this past weekend. Check out a few party highlights. 

  • Nick Cannon kicked off BET weekend at sbe’s Hyde Lounge in Los Angeles on Friday night, arriving ready to DJ at the glitterati hotspot in his signature white suit and black bow tie.  Cannon was greeted by his “personal valet,” who held a mirror so the “Wild ‘N Out” star could check himself out one more time before making his way inside the club.  When he took to the decks, the TV personality emceed throughout his entire performance, hyping up the crowd to songs like “Bugatti” by Ace Hood ft Future & Rick Ross and “Ayy Ladies” by Travis Porter ft Tyga.  Later in the evening, Jamie Foxx showed up with an entourage in tow to celebrate his new movie, “White House Down.”  The actor danced with friends and a mystery woman at his table throughout the night.  At one point, Cannon gave a shout out to Foxx as he played “Gold Digger” before heading over to his table to give Foxx a hug and congratulate him on his new movie.  DJ Nick Cannon ended his set with the song, “#Beautiful,” by his wife Mariah Carey, saying “I can’t leave without playing my wife’s song.”
  • The BET Awards brought the music industry out in full swing to Los Angeles this weekend including the notorious party thrower, Diddy, who hosted the sbe XIV Hip Hop Sessions Pre-BET Party at The Colony on Saturday night.  Although the “Bad Boy” did not attend the BET Awards, you would think Saturday’s party was an awards show in itself.  The Ciroc vodka was flowing as the music mogul partied at his table with some of the top musicians in the hip-hop industry including friends Jermaine Dupri, The Game and his former assistant Fonzworth Bentley.  Fabolous, Busta Rhymes, Young Jeezyand Hit-Boy, who recently announced he left Kanye West’s music label, continued to party at the table adjacent to Diddy’s despite being surrounded by fans eager to snap photos of the famous artists. Even professional athletes wouldn’t miss a party thrown by Diddy! San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick as well as NBA players, Rajon Rondo and free agent Josh Smith all showed up to experience the famous XIV party during their off-seasons.
  • After winning the “Fandemonium Award” and a successful performance at the 2013 BET Awards, Chris Brown continued the festivities at The Official “Party After” event at The Belasco Theater in Downtown Los Angeles to celebrate his new role as Creative Director for ZING Vodka on Sunday night.  Friends like Nick Cannon, Tyson Beckford and rapper Problem also attended to show their support for the artist as it was just announced this week that the R & B star is partnering up with the premium liquor, where he will assist in conceptualizing and directing creative assets including advertising campaigns for the vodka brand.  Brown was in great spirits and took swigs from the ZING Red Velvet bottle throughout the night as DJ Nick Cannonspun beats and Problem performed for the crowd.
  • Mark Pitts, Greenhouse And J.Rose hosted their Annual BET Post Party. Miguel, Sevyn Streeter, Brandy, Ray J, Wale, Marsha Ambrosius, Jessica Rosenblum, Elle Varner,  A$AP Ferg,  J. Cole and Bridget Kelly attended the BET Post Party at SupperClub Los Angeles. The evening before, DJ Whoo Kid kept the crowd pumped at Epic’s BET Awards party hosted by Ciara, Sean Kingston and Tamar Braxton.

  • The Source was also invited to ‘The Experience Kick -Off Party” At Drais Hollywood on Friday, June 28th. Da Internz, Draya Michele, Staci Harris, LoveRance, Shane Dean were in attendance. The chic affair was hosted by Grammy-nominated producers, Da Internz, and The Firm Global. We spotted rapper Problem, Bridget Kelly and more!
