Macklemore hit up Hot 97 to chop it up with Peter Rosenberg on his Real Late solo show.
Before cracking the mic for his freestyle, Rosenberg couldn’t help but ask Macklemore if he got any backlash for his infamous line about R. Kelly on “Thrift Shop.” His seemingly honest response was that he never thought the Pied Piper would hear it. He proceeds to acknowledge him as “The GOAT of R&B.”

Following that comic relief, Rosenberg prefaces the freestyle with, “You said that Wu-Tang raised you. So…” and proceeds to cue up Wu-Tang’s “Triumph” instrumental.
