Distance would be an understatement
Pre-season soccer has already kicked off this summer as teams are getting ready for their leagues to start towards the end of August. Kind of how in NCAA football when Michigan will open up against an Appalachian State (except for the time when Appalachian State won) this is expected to be a beat down and a chance for younger players to get some run.
Germany’s Shalke 04 took on Austria’s Red Bull Salzburg in their tune up game for the Bundesliga season. Red Bull Salzburg did upset the German side, but the highlight was this strike from 70-yards out by Martin Hinteregger. Hinteregger caught the Shalke goalie well off his line for this 70-yard goal.
