The single “Team Friendship” has leaked off of iLLA‘s upcoming mixtape, EVG, scheduled for free download on July 23.
The single features Compton’s own Kendrick Lamar, who semi-sings on the hook.This is the second single to leak for the Portland native.
Two years ago, iLLA released a single titled, “Cranberry VODKA” which garnered 200,000 views on YouTube. A successful mixtape caught the attention of EMI executives, who offered him a deal. However, after being sentenced to prison for illegal activities, the deal was no longer on the table. Not to be deterred, iLLA was then picked up by eOne, who has developed successes in DJ Khaled, Joe Budden and Jim Jones.
