LeSean McCoy speaks on Riley Cooper following racial slur

A day after a video surfaced of Riley Cooper threatening to fight every “n*gger here” when attending a Kenny Chesney concert he had to face his teammates. Two teammates who talked about Cooper’s words were his QB Michael Vick and his RB LeSean McCoy. Where Vick said he had forgiven Cooper it was McCoy who had went in to more detail on the matter.

McCoy spoke about forgiving Cooper but revealed he was hurt on a personal level by Cooper whom he considered a good friend. This is what McCoy had to say;

I forgive him. We’ve been friends for a long time. But in a situation like this you really find out about someone. Just on a friendship level, I can’t really respect someone like that.

Cooper had immediately apologized to his teammates, management, ownership, and his coach following the remarks. The Eagles have fined Cooper a undisclosed amount of money with no suspension. Roger Goodell also informed ESPN Radio that he would not punish Cooper any further.

Cooper isn’t done apologizing though, he intends to personally apologize to the security guard that his remarks were aimed at.

“I haven’t had a chance to see him since the incident, but obviously I’m going to go up to him and apologize the best that I can and hopefully he’ll see how much I mean it and how sincere I am.”
