I mean, the name of the guy’s last solo mixtape was KING OF NEW YORK for crying out loud. How wouldn’t DZA feel slighted by that verse? Especially considering he’s been one of Kendrick’s frequent collaborators through the years, this one’s got to make Smoke feel a sort of way. Don’t slip and think DZA’s not hungry though. He’s admittedly shunned major label deals to put his music out independently, and he’s damn good at it.
