Dom McLennon calls his style of music optimistic and all inclusive hip-hop.  This Hartford, Connecticut native crafted one of the most well thought out and approachable sounds on Sandy Shore Motel. His production talents allow him to have more control of his sound, and for someone with a clear understanding of how they want their music to sound, this is a benefit. Unlike Sage, Dom did not produce majority of his projects, but the continuity between tracks can lead listeners to believe he had to be involved in their production, at some level.

Even though Dom attempts to be more on the positive side, he does not follow the lead of the Based God, Lil B. His songs incorporate intricate lyricism and wordplay, rather than hodgepodge freestyles. What he does share with Lil B, is an innate yearning to create therapeutic music. While he is optimistic, Dom delves into the negative or pessimistic ideas that cloud his mind in order to relate to his listeners. Songs like the “The Fall,” show the dark side of the artist’s psyche, but he follows this track with “anothersunrise,” whose purpose is to show that one can get past these insecurities. Dom has a lot of potential and can become one of the more revered members of the crew, thanks to how relatable he is.
