Big Jon has publishing power that is unparalleled in Hip-Hop. After 17 years, Big Jon left EMI with the $2.2 billion sale to a Sony investor. In September 2012, Platt joined major rival Warner/Chappell as President of Creative. Platt has signed publishing deals with Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Drake, Ludacris, Usher, and others. His first signing at Warner/Chappell was a worldwide publishing administration deal with Roc Nation, transferring rights to Jay-Z’s catalog going back to 2008 as well as all of Hov’s future work.
