The AND 1 festivities came to an end yesterday with a very exciting dunk contest and the AND 1 Summer Remix championship game.

Things kicked off at 4PM with the AND 1 Dunk Contest. Members from various teams that played in the tournament participated in the competition. The chosen judges for the contest were Lance Stephenson of the Indiana Pacers, AND 1 Live Tour Director Linda Hill and Mike Bivens of BBD/New Edition. A 10 minute jam session was in full effect for participants to try impress judges and fans with their acrobatic dunks. After the first round, the competition was narrowed to four players with each having two opportunities to try to try to get the best score to advance to the last stage. In the final round of the dunk contest Guy Dupuy from Nice, France took home the award for the best dunker of the night.

Shortly after the dunk contest, the AND 1 Summer Remix championship game tip offed at 5PM. Lace Stephenson‘s Born Ready squared off against the Summer Pro League for 100K in cash. Team Born Ready got off to a big lead in the first quarter and maintained their dominance all throughout the first three quarters of the game. Summer Pro League did tie things up in the fourth quarter with 5:07 left on the clock, and took the lead by a point with probably three minutes left. However, Born Ready, the team that dominated the most part of the game got focused and hit some clutch shots at the end of the game to put them ahead of Summer Pro League 73-71 and become the brand new AND1 Champions and take home the big cash prize of $100K.

Lance Stephenson and his Born Ready squad received their trophies right after the game as well as their 100K check. Born Ready player, Osiris Eldridge was named the MVP of the entire AND1 Summer Remix Tournament. Congratulations to Lance and team Born Ready and big thank you to
