The GHS rollout has begun
Well, its about time. After a couple under-the-radar loosies this past summer–when most expected Dom Kennedy, the defending champion of summer rap music, to put out his new album–it appears that Get Home Safely, the new full-length album from the captain of the OPM company has begun its launching process. Attaching a release date of October 1st to the LP this past week, it only makes sense that the Leimert Park native would begin to get us familiar with what to expect from the LP, and today we have the project’s first video. “South Central Love”, a very vintage-sounding Dom Kennedy song serves as a narrative to a mini-movie about life & love, & one can’t help but feel nostalgic for those peak summer months. Either way, Anytime we draw nearer to the release of a Dom Kennedy album, there isn’t much to complain about. Its still summer somewhere.
