GTA V turns a big profit
Copies of Grand Theft Auto V continue to fly off the shelves during the game’s opening release week. Prior to today’s news GTA V made $800 million in 24 hours. Now with the game being out a grand total of three days the sales have eclipsed the $1 billion mark.

The $1 billion in sales beats out Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2’s record yet again. Black Ops 2 made $500 million in first day sales and took 15 days to pass the $1 billion mark.
It cost the GTA V developers somewhere between $200 and $250 million to create the game, so they made a nice little profit very, very fast.
