In the next installment of Life+Times’ Decoded series, Veteran producer DJ Quik takes us back into time with his memories of working with Mr. Carter on The Black Album. Quik rehashed his experience of pitching beats for Jay and the inspiration behind the album. He also touches on mixing his West coast style with the likes of the late Guru in the studio.
The West coast musician also spoke on working on the joint “Justify My Thug.” He leaked some details on pop icon Madonna’s involvement with the track.
