From his yet to be released album The Marshall Mathers LP 2, “Bezerk” gives off a golden-age and 1990’s pop culture vibe, as it is laced with Beastie Boys-esque production courtesy of Rick Rubin. The video features cameos from both Kendrick Lamar and Kid Rock (both mentioned by the artist in the song) and is a celebration of old hip hop. The song samples Billy Squier’s “The Stroke”, as well as the Beastie Boys’ “The New Style” and “Fight for Your Right”, both songs taken from their 1986 debut album Licensed to Ill which Rick Rubin also produced.
