Peace! Today’s Mathematics is Understanding Knowledge all being Born to Culture. To have Understanding is to have the ability to comprehend and Knowledge is the infinite foundation of all things in existence. Having the Supreme comprehension of the foundation of one’s existence gives them the ability to live out one’s Culture without restrictions or constraints. Culture is one’s natural way of life, so when one gains a clear mental picture of their origin, they gain a balanced insight of the influence of their own reality.
As we begin the day that is rivaled only by Christmas to most children around the world, it is essential that the youth are shown the foundation of Halloween and the cultural practices of this controversial holy-day that extend far beyond dressing up, trick or treating, and throwing eggs. This year, many have chosen to use this day to express their racist and callous viewpoints through costume. On Instagram, a pair of white teenage girls who use the handles @kinkystyles and @dopebeiber boastfully posted that “me and @kinkystyles are niggers this Halloween :)”. After a well deserved lashing from the Black community, little Klanslady @dopebeiber responded to her critics with “quit worrying about my halloween costume & start worrying about finding your dad!!” If that wasn’t enough, @kinkystyles added her two cents by tweeting, “who cares if you’re offended the constitution doesn’t give a fuck about your feelings.” It’s not hard to tell that these impressionable minds are being used as puppets by adults, however, it is important to understand that this type of devilishment is rooted in All Hallows’ Eve. Caitlin Cimeno, who proudly posted pics of Greg Cimeno and convicted felon William Filene dressed as a bloody Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman, was fired from her job after a few persistent social media users tracked her down and reported her to her employer. Freedom of speech? Well, she was free to post the pics and her employer was free to give her a pink slip. Last but definitely not least, America’s favorite twerker decided that she also wanted to be Black this Halloween. Pop sensation Miley Cyrus decided that she wanted to dress up as the legendary Lil’ Kim in her infamous purple titty out outfit. She rocked it sans the blackface on IG, so let her live. Understand that these are only the ones that have gone public. Don’t be shocked if you see a few more Trayvons, George Zimmermans, and Karl Malones while you’re out tonight. It’s America, damn it. And don’t forget to look out for the drug laced goodies!
Understanding Knowledge simply means to see where you come from in order to Know where you’re going. Once one Understands the intellectual objectives of their ancestors, they will be more equipped and qualified to live out the prescribed legacy of their Original Culture. Hip Hop music is a very influential aspect of global society and in order to fully see the potential of its positive impact, we must recognize the foundation. Peace to all!
