When Miley Cyrus made her grand arrival at the 2013 MTV EMAs, she was a wearing a custom, low-cut, lace-up number from New York Vintage. The mini-dress Cyrus wore pays homage to Biggie and Pac, with the words “Please Stop The Violence” emblazoned across the front and back. Along with the usual hair and the mess of gold chains around her neck, Miley continued to kill it with a pair of standout shoes (are you surprised?). The stiletto-heeled, over-the-knee Tom Ford boots were covered in black-and-white checkers.
Later on in the evening, following performances of “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball,” Cyrus went onstage to collect her award for Best Video. For Wrecking Ball’s big win, Cyrus thanked only Terry Richardson and her “Smilerz.” It was only necessary, then, for Cyrus to make room in her Chanel clutch for that shiny new award. So, Cyrus pulled out a joint, lit it, gave one more thank you, and marched off the stage again. You know what they say: “When in Amsterdam…”
