“I’m going to be bigger than Walmart”
Kanye West sat down with Angie Martinez today to speak on many topics, one of those, his brand new partnership with adidas. It was rumored last week that Ye had partnered up with Y-3 adidas for a future sneaker release, and today the Yeezus of 808’s & Heartbreaks confirms that rumor. His decision for picking the three stripe name brand over Nike was because of his daughter, North West, and the royalties Ye would be receiving from the athletic brand.
“The old me without a daughter, might’ve taken the Nike deal cause I just love Nike so much… blah blah blah, but the new me with a daughter takes the adidas deal because I have royalties and I have to provide for my family.”
Ye makes it well known that the world will one day know him as the Tupac of Product, and due to his Hip-Hop upbringing he will become the first designer in the genre that will be bigger than Wal-Mart. Check out Yeezus’ interresting point of view in business and much more.
