Boston rapper One Dae just dropped his official debut project, Daes & Times, courtesy of Daelight (an imprint of Coalmine Records). He actually squared off against Mos Def in a rap battle in NYC, earning him a mention in, yes, The Source Magazine. Now, One Dae is earning his shine all on his own.
The album features some names you should be familiar with-Evidence (of Dilated Peoples), Sean Price, C-Rayz Walz, and Statik Selektah. As for production? One Dae enlisted Marco Polo, Australia’s M-Phazes, and the legendary Domingo (KRS-One, Fat Joe, Big Pun, Kool G Rap), among others. For those that continually complain about the loss of that raw Boom Bap, just press play and see if your claim still stands.
