Just a few hours ago Fast and Furious actor Paul Waker was announced dead in a car crash in Santa Clarita, California. He was 40 years old.
Ame van Iden, Walker’s publicist, confirmed the actors death however could not into any further details other than what’s posted on Walker’s official Facebook & Twitter accounts. Walker was the front seat passenger in a friend’s car as both were on their way to charity event for Walker’s organization, Reach Out Worldwide. The charities website stated the event was intended to benefit victims of Typhoon Haiyan that affected the Philippines. The crash took place about 3:30 p.m., PST only a few hundred yards from where the event was held.
Officers arrived at the scene to find a Porcsche on fire due to smashing against a tree. Once the fire was maintained and put out, they found two occupants, both of whom were pronounced dead at the scene. All that remained was the burnt crushed metal of the car and a light pole that had been knocked down.
Walker was working on the seventh film of the franchise, with a scheduled release date of 2014. Our condolences to everyone in the Walker family.
