3. Tsu Surf vs. Hollow Da Don
What: Probably the number 2 most respected battle rapper in the world returns from a long hiatus. At first, people thought this was a wasted match. They wanted Hollow vs. Lux and nothing else. But after this match, you won’t hear fans call a match against Tsu Surf a waste again.
Why: Surf’s stock blew through the roof after this. His delivery is unique and his bars get people hyped. The room at NOME3 nearly exploded after Surf’s first round. For Hollow’s 1st, people were quiet, silently judging every syllable. So much so that they missed a lot of good bars. Surf also had a great second and third round. Hollow’s last round however was a return to Hollow Da Don in his prime, the guy we saw destroy Big-T, and most of his best moments were freestyle.
