Young Thug is going to be a voice for a generation, or at least his diamond will be—if we can get them to stop saying “Picacho”. On a serious note, he was able to develop a sound that is unlike any that we have encounter in Atlanta previously. 1017 Thug is incredible raw, unprocessed and unfiltered, but his infectious delivery that rapidly changes makes it addictive. There are so many hits on this mixtape, it’s hard to imagine how he hasn’t taken over the world already. That might be due to the Picacho thing again, but look out for him next year.
