Child star Ricky Spicer sues Yeezy over voice sample
Uh huh honey! Kanye is being sued for the catchy sample found on his “Bound 2” track on his latest album, Yeezus.
Boy band Ponderosa Twins Plus One member Ricky Spicer want to get paid for West’s usecofchis voice on the stand out track on the eccentric star’s latest release. On Monday, a suit was filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, with the suit staring that, “Mr. Spicer’s voice is sampled exactly as he recorded it.” Spicer recorded “Bound” when he was 12 years old.
Other defendants in the case besides ‘Ye include Island Def Jam, Rhino Entertainment, Universal Music Group and Roc-a-Fella.
