"Girls" Season Three Premiere - ArrivalsWhat can you tell us about Jessa’s journey this season?

JK: A lot of trials and tribulations.

She starts out in rehab, so is she really serious about trying to improve her life?

JK: No, I think she has good intentions, but she’s going about it the wrong way. Just because she makes these big moves – getting married, going to rehab – whatever it is, it doesn’t mean she’s serious, necessarily. She just does things big.

Do you really think she cares about her relationship with Hannah?

JK: No. I don’t think that she thinks there’s something there to mend. I think her whole MO is “I can take it or I can leave it.” Which is not true necessarily, but I think she needs someone there to tell her when something’s serious, really.

Do you think the other girls know that?

JK: Yes, I think they can…in the right moment, with the right writing.

Kirke also set the record straight about what really happened at the “Picasso Baby” shoot.

What was it like working with Jay Z on his “Picasso Baby” music video?

JK: I didn’t work with him at all, I went up and accosted him, apparently. No, I did not. I did not accost him. I didn’t work with him, I got thrown on the middle of the stage…

Did you know what was going to happen?

JK: Yeah because I saw it happening, but I was already in line to have it happen to me and I wanted to leave so bad, but I didn’t because I was like, ‘I’m going to regret it if I don’t do it.’

So was the jump on his back your idea?

JK: I didn’t jump on his back! I did not jump on his back.
