ScHoolboy Q‘s debut album has been rumored about for so many months its almost become a piece of hip-hop nerd folklore.  He can’t even tweet something normal about himself or his music on Twitter without someone replying with something witty like “we need new music fat boy”, or something to that effect.  Q takes it in good stride however, because ultimately, that just means that his music is as in demand as he could hope, considering this is his first time around the rodeo.  Both Setbacks and Habits & Contradictions were retail projects available on iTunes, but with Interscope behind him, his labelmate and partner-in-rhyme Kendrick Lamar officially certified platinum and Top Dawg Entertainment looking to be the hottest label in rap in 2014, all eyes are on ScHoolboy Q, to see if his debut album, Oxymoron, turns out to be the classic he said himself he was looking to make, because, well, “Kendrick left me no choice”.
