For all you adrenaline junkies and thrill seekers who’ve been looking for the next biggest and coolest burst of excitement, it’s finally here. Well not here exactly, it’s actually in Kansas City, Kansas. This summer, Schlitterbahn Kansas City Waterpark will unveil the tallest, fastest and steepest water slide in the world. The new ride has been given the name Verrückt, which is German for insane, and rightfully so. Standing at a height taller than Niagra Falls, it takes a little while to climb to the top of the Verrückt, 264 steps to be exact. It may seem quite a task getting up to the ride but going down not so much. Steeper than just about any ski slope, riders will be propelled down the tube at a speed of 65 mph. You’ll be down in seconds, but you won’t be alone. It’s a four-person raft ride so you’ll have to bring along three other “insane” friends. Start recruiting now. Check out a flyover view of the Verrückt here.
