How did you get originally cast on the show, Love Thy Neighbor?

Andre Hall: I just went through an audition process like everybody else. It’s actually unique because I’ve been pursuing acting for seven years and I was originally set to go to school for biology degree to be the real Dr. Dre. My agent called that I had an audition for the show and over two weeks or so, we flew to Atlanta to read in front of Tyler Perry. After I read for Tyler, I ended up getting cast on the show. I’m definitely grateful to be part of the show.

What is it like working with Palmer Williams Jr. and Kendra C. Johnson as your on screen family?

AH: Working with Palmer is amazing! You never what’s going to come out of his mouth, you never what’s he going to do. He could pull laughter out of anybody and some times I forget we have to work but it’s such a good time. We became such a family off screen and Palmer calls me nephew and sometimes refers to me as my character Danny. Working with Kendra, we act like mother and son and we look so much alike from the way we smile we often squint with our eyes.

How does it feel to film certain episodes that deals with hard topics such as molestation?

AH: It’s wonderful that Mr. Perry is addressing these issues on the show because it could help to someone that is going through a similar situation and it is a very serious subject matter. This season we really are exploring heart felt genuine moments that happens within the family and what people deal with everyday. It’s very powerful that we tell these stories on the episodes and being able to share this with people. Unfortunately, sometimes in life things do happen whether there is a reason or not.

In three words, how would you describe your character Danny and why?

AH: In three words, I would describe Danny as idealistic, dreamer and momma’s boy. The reason why I used those words because Danny is such a sweetheart and he has a lot of ideas and dreams that the world is a happy place but sometimes he could be a little naive the real world. He has a sweet soul and has a big heart. His mother is everything to him on the show and if it was Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory, his mom would be Willy and I’ll be the little kid that is full of joy and love.

What could fans expect from your character and would there be a love interest for him?

AH: Fans could expect Danny to be more manly this season but still remains the same by protecting his mother and without giving a way too much in the upcoming episodes he might have a love interest. But just tune in to see. He grows up a lot and not always wining.

What is it like working with an accomplish director such as Tyler Perry?

AH:Working with Tyler Perry is truly a blessing and a gift because he is very talented when it comes to his work. He always interacts with his cast and get their point of view of their character on the show. He is such a prolific director and a well rounded person. He is always in constant communication with his cast and I considered him a mentor to me. He’s like a gentle giant and he’s very patient with you. He knows how to separate his personal life and his business life. He could uplift your spirits if you’re down and out.

Besides Love Thy Neighbor, what are some of your upcoming projects that you have in the works?

AH: Well besides doing the show, I’m back to doing some modeling and I have a short & independent film coming out sometime in March. I’m currently in the process of writing, directing and producing my own feature. A little bit of Tyler Perry is rubbing off on me. I have a Nike and Reebok campaign coming up. Back to acting class as well.
