Last week on the BET hit series, Being Mary Jane, Mary Jane goes out with her friends to a club and she kept texting Andre but he didn’t respond. When she went home, she tries online dating and eventually found a date. Mary Jane’s mother, Helen discovers that her bracelet is missing and they tried to look for it in the house.
This week, it’s official between Andre and Mary Jane as he is living with her until his new apartment is finished for a month. Mary Jane’s mother, Helen is upset at her husband, Paul for not getting her a platinum table for the upcoming Jack and Jill gala to raise money for the UNCF.
Mary Jane’s friend Terrence (starring rapper Ludacris) wrote a controversial book about the prison system in which resulted in an interested news story for her show but found out that his girlfriend has some information about him that could possibly hurt his career.
It’s the night of the gala and Andre doesn’t attend the event because of people seeing him with Mary Jane because of his situation with his former wife. While at the gala, she sees David and Helen invites him to sit with the family but he came with a date. They were dancing at the gala and reminiscing about all of the good times they had growing up and Helen finally got her platinum table.
