THEY DIDN’T THROW YOUNG JEEZY ON HALF OF THE TRACKLIST

Too often, when rappers sign rappers, the signee’s following project becomes a Hot Rapper Presents: My Protege Featuring Me album, rather than an accurate showcase of what said hot rapper saw in the young artist that got him signed in the first place. Kanye West famously joked on the outro of the last song on his College Dropout album, “Last Call”, that Dame Dash probably figured that if Ye’s raps were wack, Dash could just throw Cam’ron, one of the biggest artists in the game at the time, on every record and “save the album”. Smartly, YG and company steered clear of this strategy, and while tracklists can be misleading, Jeezy literally makes his only appearance on the lead single to the album.
