At approximately 8:00 p.m. I walked in to Miss Lily’s, a dimly lit record store and Jamaican restaurant and juice bar. The restaurant has a small area in the front that is used to broadcast “Federation Sound Live” a radio show hosted by DJ Max Glazer and Kenny Meez. I headed straight to the back where the food was being served and ordered a plate of Ox tails with rice and peas and mixed vegetables. I don’t think I’ve ever had any food that fresh or flavorful in my life. Maybe I’m exaggerating a little bit, but you get the point.

Somewhere around 8:40 p.m., Sean Paul walked in and began co-hosting Federation Sound Live. The room was packed with fans and camera men snapping photos of the Grammy winning artist. A server came around with complimentary beef, vegetable, and curry chicken patties, while Sean Paul gave listeners tidbits about his new album “Full Frequency.” He talked about the ways he incorporated trap, rap and EDM sounds into his music. This album has features music heavyweights such as: Damian Marley, Akon, Juicy J, 2 Chainz, Nicki Minaj, Benny Blanco, Polow da Don, and Bachata sensation Prince Royce. Before ending the evening, Sean Paul kicked a dope freestyle for the audience.

It’s one thing to listen to the radio, but to be a part of it was truly an amazing experience. Another cool thing about this album is the artwork is compatible of a free app called LAYAR, which allows you to scan the album artwork and then access an interactive page. “Full Frequency” is now available on iTunes for more information please download LAYAR and scan the album artwork or visit www.allseanpaul.com.
