While friends, family and fans are still grieving the untimely death of actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, there is finally some closure in his passing as the official autopsy results have been released.
New York City officials say a toxic mix of heroin and other drugs killed the Oscar-winning actor.
A spokeswoman for the NYC medical examiner says Hoffman died from a mix of heroin, cocaine, amphetamines and benzodiazepines, which are psychoactive drugs.
Hoffman’s death was ruled an accident.
It has been reported that Hoffman was found earlier this month (Feb. 2) with a needle in his arm. Tests found heroin in samples from at least 50 packets in his Manhattan apartment.
His death was investigated as a suspected drug overdose.
