New management deal, new music is Deborah Cox’s motto. Deborah Cox will be joining Primary Wave Music’s talented roster of artists with Cee Lo Green, Eric Benét, Ginuwine and newbie Trevor Jackson. The “Nobody’s Supposed To Be Here” singer’s last album The Promise was released in 2008 which received little buzz selling 6,400 copies its first week and a total of 64,000 by September 2009. Deborah went on to perform as Lucy the female lead in a revival of the musical Jekyll & Hyde starring Constantine Maroulis. With Jekyll & Hyde ending in May of 2013 Deborah has had the time to focus back on her music. It would be great if Deborah gets back to her R&B ways and hopefully leaving the dance music alone.
