This episode was all about Hannah
Last week on the hit show, Girls, the girls throw a celebration party for Adam as he got the role of a lifetime on Broadway. Hannah is set to do her first interview for GQ with a singer named Patti LuPone and Adam calls Hannah with the good news that he got the role.
This week, it is all about Hannah as she finds out that her grandmother, Flo, is in the hospital with pneumonia because she thought it was for her broken femur. This is the one episode that didn’t have all of the girls on it. Hannah’s aunts Sissy & Margot and cousin, Rebecca are introduced in this episode.
Hannah finally went to see Flo and she was happy to see her. Hannah’s mother, Loreen wanted her to tell Flo that she is married to Adam because since she’s dying it would be beneficial to both of them. Hannah thinks that it was a selfish move from her mother. Hannah and her cousin, Rebecca went to spend some time together while getting drinks at the bar. Rebecca tells Hannah how she really feels about her and Hannah is shocked to hear this but at the same time, she insisted that Rebecca was jealous of her life.
Adam went to see Hannah at the hospital to give her support (talk about a supportive boyfriend). The aunts found out that their dying mother may live after all, the three make a pact to spend more time together. Easter, Sissy suggests! But no, Margot doesn’t like what it stands for. Hannah finally introduces Adam to Flo and she tells her that she didn’t want to meet anybody new.
Hannah receives some harsh criticism from her mother about Adam but she doesn’t want to hear it but is hurt by it. When she found out that her grandmother is not dying, Hannah was relieved. She couldn’t hurt to be dying inside because of the comments her mother made about Adam. As she is going home, thinking everything is good, she received the bad news that her grandmother died of a heart attack minutes she left the hospital.
