August Alsina, the 21-year-old, tatted-up ladies man is pretty busy these days. Currently on tour with 2 Chainz and Pusha T, August is performing in Europe for the first time on a 5-stop tour, all while preparing to release his first LP, “Testimony” next month.

However, there has been much talk about a recent interview with RapUpTV where August had a few specific words about his relationship with Trey.

“All I said was, ‘we ain’t good right now’. With this music sh*t, sometimes it gets deeper than music. Like when you become somebody homie or whatever, I hold you to a certain standard and you know, that’s how it is. Like with my brothers, sometimes we don’t f*ck with each other. You fall off and you get back on. I just think that people run with negativity… We don’t get down right now and that’s just how it is.”

Following up after several mixtapes and last fall’s EP “Downtown: Life Under The Gun“, “Testimony” is shaping up to be a more personal project. The album, which drops on April 14, his late brother’s birthday, whose unsolved murder in 2010 has greatly impacted August’s life. Production credits include Eric Hudson, Drumma Boy, Jasper Cameron, and The Exclusives.

The album also features cameo appearances by Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Fabolous and Pusha T, but the singer insists he can hold down this album on his own.

“I’ve been keeping it all me. If they didn’t add or bring anything to the table to make it special, it ain’t no need for it… I’m putting my all and my whole focus into the album, its special and I’ve been waiting to share it with everyone.”
