The New York Jets have decided to release Antonio Cromartie.
The New York Jets made a decision that will save them millions by releasing their cornerback, Antonio Cromartie. This would have been his final year with the team and it would have cost them in total around $20 million. Cromartie was coming off an injury which resulted in one of his worst seasons. There might be hopes of the Jets gaining Antonio Cromartie back with a reduced salary or they might shop their options for a new cornerback. Antonio Cromartie was a great asset to the Jets so it would be terrible to see them just release him without even attempting to resign him with a better contract that fits their needs.
