This six minute clip will probably go down as the most important piece of news coverage this year—scratch that, this decade. Famed journalist, show host, and comedian Zach Galifianakis, also known as “the only reason to watch Hangover”, sat down with community organizer and President Barack Obama, in the latest episode of his “Between Two Ferns” web series. The amount of knowledge and political insight that was shared between the two were astronomical, almost too much to fully comprehend. Their on screen relationship was powerful, incredibly moving to the point of tears pouring down one’s cheek.
President Obama and Galifianakis discussed Health Care, North Korea, and the failure of running three times for office. It was non-stop hilarity, as the two traded jabs the entire time. This is only the most recent example of President Obama’s humorous side, as he has made appearances on a number of late night talk shows. Hopefully this is only the first part of a series of interviews; it would be a grievous injustice if “60 minutes” does not pick this up immediately.
