Just minutes ago, reports came down that famed reggae artist Vybz Kartel was found guilty of murder in the case of Barrington Barron, a 27 year old businessman and music promoter in Jamaica. The deceased was killed in September of 2011.
However, the jury was just ordered to reconsider their verdict, and as of right now, they are still reconvening. They had initially decided upon the “guilty” verdict by a count of ten to none.
Kartel is most known for his 2009 hit song, “Romping Shop”, which became so popular in the United States it charted on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts, topping off at #76. Kartel has also made contributions to popular albums from Missy Elliott, Sean Kingston and Busta Rhymes.
