Windy City femcee drops her Greatness 2 mixtape on DatPiff via BMB Records
Over the past few years despite nationwide attention for violence and an alarmingly high street homicide rate, the Chicago rap scene has steadily grown in popularity with artists like Chief Keef, Lil Durk, Chance the Rapper and Rocky Fresh to name a few. Leading the way with a string of hits, the aforementioned artists have directed the spotlight to Chicago. Enter female rapper L Streetz; a strong female emcee who is leading the way for females in the Windy City.
L Streetz has emerged on the competitive Chicago scene over the past year for her ability to effortlessly flip words over pounding bass and trap heavy beats on her project Greatness. While balancing the trends of the industry for female emcees L Streetz has remained true to her core strengths of lyrical content and bass heavy tracks. L Streetz has been able to win over a barrage of fans in the midwest from Detroit, where she recently opened up for Chief Keef and where her label BMB Records is based. In addition L Streetz was recently featured on labelmate Charli Baltimore’s mixtape Hard 2 Kill and fellow Chicago rapper Shawnna’s She’s Alive.
