Beyonce and Jay-z recently made a stop off in Amsterdam, during her uber busy Mrs.Carter European tour schedule, to visit the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. Beyonce left a note in the visitor’s center giving tribute to the young diarist who became one of the many victims of the Holocaust but who also managed to tell her story through the poetic justice of her diary. To quote the young diarist “I simply can’t build my hopes on a foundation of confusion, misery and death… I think… peace and tranquillity will return again.”, Anne Frank
